We hope this message finds you well. As we embrace a new chapter in our professional journey, we wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates and heartfelt reflections on our time with Pure Wash Window Cleaning.
Our New Venture
We’re thrilled to announce that over the past 18 months we have been embarking on an exciting new business venture that aligns more closely with our long-term career goals. From the beginning, it was always part of our plan to transition into a different business, one that presents fresh opportunities, exciting challenges and the prospect of much larger growth and scale. Our new venture is designed to leverage innovative approaches and allow us to explore new horizons in a way that truly excites us.
A Time for Change
Since launching Pure Wash shortly after the pandemic, we have had the pleasure of brightening countless windows and, by extension, the days of many wonderful people. The past few years have been a whirlwind of purified water and sparkling glass, and we’ve loved every minute of it. From the cheerful waves of happy customers to the many unique stories we’ve gathered along the way, it’s been a rollercoaster of experiences, both delightful and, well, a little quirky!
It’s been a fantastic adventure, filled with heartwarming moments and a few characters that only added to the charm of our journey. We've met some truly wonderful people, and while not everyone we’ve encountered has been a ray of sunshine (a few grumpy customers came our way), we’ve learned to see the humour in every situation.
Proud Achievements
We’re especially proud to highlight some significant milestones that we have achieved:
Pure Wash was the first window cleaning company in Colchester to surpass 50 Google reviews, this has since been emulated by several of the larger window cleaning companies in our area.
We were selected to go on Best Rated after just two years in business in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
The Perfect Timing
We believe the timing is perfect for us to make this transition. The window cleaning landscape in Colchester is becoming increasingly competitive, with numerous new companies popping up all over town. We frequently see new vans at Spotless Water where we source our purified water, indicating a growing number of players in the industry.
This is likely due to increased costs of living applying financial pressure to many households, forcing people to work multiple jobs to provide for their families. This shift reinforces our decision to pivot and focus on our online adventure, which is set to introduce exciting innovations and opportunities that align perfectly with our vision for the future.
Exciting Next Steps
As we move forward, we’ve decided to cut back on our window cleaning rounds. We will continue to service our current rounds, and there won’t be any immediate changes. However, we won’t be taking on any new customers, and as our online business builds up, we will gradually scale back on window cleaning.
We know a local window cleaner who has some wonderful reviews and doesn’t proclaim to be the “best” in Colchester (a fun fact: there’s never been a window cleaning competition here, so there’s no such thing as the “best” - a clean window is simply a clean window!). Once we’ve finalised details, we’ll be passing our customers on to this reliable and skilled professional.
